Earlobe Aesthetics
Earlobe Reduction
The earlobe may be larger or sagging than normal congenitally or after incorrect earring use.
Before Surgery
Detailed medical history, patient examination, patient's expectations, information about the surgery, pre-procedure photography are performed.
Surgery
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia. The procedure takes 15-30 minutes. It is closed with a dressing and the person continues his/her daily life.
It is kept closed for 24 hours after the postoperative repair, then it can be bandaged with special tapes. It does not cause loss of labor force. Stitches are removed at the end of the first week. The ear can be pierced again and earrings can be worn 2 to 3 months after the procedure.
Repair of Torn Earlobe
It is a tearing of the holes in the earlobe, often as a result of earring weight or trauma. It is caused by the chronic weight of the earrings and the body's reaction to the metal content. It is more common in people who are allergic to some metal alloys.
