Strawberry Lift

Strawberry lift is a non-invasive procedure that is applied for reduction and tightening of the double chin. The procedure has two stages. The laser is used in the first stage and silent ultrasound energy is used in the second stage.

Strawberry lift uses low-level lasers classified as 3 B class cold red laser. Lasers can safely penetrate the patient's skin for 9-13 mm. It does not affect the adipose tissue under the neck muscle (platysma). As soon as the treatment is over, the patient can continue normal activities.

The second stage, the silent ultrasound creates a sensitive, focused thermal injury zone deeper than a standard ultrasound. It increases the tissue temperature to above 65ºC in the zone, causing the tissue to tighten and produce more collagen. The patient does not feel these energy waves, since they are below the nerve endings.

Although the number of sessions depends on the age and problem of the patient, it is generally planned to be 4 sessions. Treatment is planned with session intervals of 10-14 days. The procedure time is approximately 45 minutes.

The lasting of the outcome is for average18 months after completion of four sessions of treatment, if a regular and balanced life is maintained.

After the procedure, the redness under the chin and neck area will disappear spontaneously in 30-60 minutes. Very rarely, bulla may occur. Abundant fluid consumption is recommended for the first two days to increase lymphatic drainage. It is recommended not to enter extremely hot environments such as Turkish bath, sauna and solarium for 24 hours. The patient can take a shower and bath. During the laser application, caution should be taken to avoid burns due to the contact of the device.

Conditions where the procedure cannot be performed:

  • Cancer (Patients with a history of cancer who have been in remission for more than 1 year can take the sessions upon approval of their doctors)
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women
  • Presence of an open wound in the procedure site
  • Any heart condition or pacemaker
  • Any liver or kidney disease
  • Epilepsy
  • Photosensitivity
  • History of keloid
  • Facial paralysis
  • Underactive or overactive thyroid gland
